Project details:
- Survey, overall assessment of prevention and mitigation of natural disaster risks, primarily floods in 3 river basins: Ba River, Cai River, Ninh Hoa, Nha Trang;
- Development of hydro-hydraulic models and simulating flood scenarios for three river basins (Establishing, calibration and verification);
- Development of flood risk assessment models and flood risk maps for three river basins (Development of flood maps & warning maps of dangerous areas; Flood risk assessment, mapping flood risk);
- Proposing solutions and evaluating the effectiveness and ranking the priority (Works and Non-work);
- Development of integrated flood management plans for river basins and integrates them into Provincial Disaster Prevention Plans;
- Development of Guidance on the process of integrated flood management plans into Provincial Disaster Prevention Plan;
- Development of flood risk assessment database integrated into the existing database of the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority;
Organization of workshops and training courses to share the results of project implementation and improve local staff's capacity in developing and implementing Integrated Flood Management Plan by River Basin and integrating it with the Provincial Disaster Prevention Plan
