DSD-SEA 2019 – Deltares Software Day – South East Asia 2019, Bangkok, Thailand
On 27-29th November 2019, In Bangkok, Thailand, a Seminar on “Hydro Software to support policy development and real-time decision making” and 2-day software introduction have been organized by Stitching Deltares, Netherlands. The event has attracted the participation of many countries in the region such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

On November 28, 2019, Ms.Tran Thanh Huyen, CEFD and Ms. Dinh Phuong Trang, Deltares Netherlands had a presentation on “System Integration, technical Assistance and SOPs for Strengthening of Weather Forecasting and EWS in Vietnam”. The presentation announced the results of Component 2 WB5 project “Strengthening forecast and early warning system in Vietnam" funded by the World Bank.

On November 28-29, Deltares introduced hydrological software and policy-making and disaster risk reduction decision support tools, including: Early warning and warning systems ( Delft-FEWS), River Basin Model (RIBASIM), Adaptation Catalyst Tool. In addition, this is also a playground for young scientists from many agencies / institutes / universities in Thailand to present their research results using the model developed by Deltares to cope with natural disaster risks, such as Kasetsart University (KU), Hydrological Informatics Institute (HII), ...
